Venezuela registers the lowest inflation in twelve years with 1.2% in February 2024

Venezuela registered, during February 2024, an inflation of 1.2% lower than that of January, which represents the lowest inflation in twelve years, as reported this Wednesday the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

During the inauguration of the “Expo Metal Iron, Steel and Aluminum 2024”, the head of state announced that this important figure projects a 75% of annualized inflation:

In February 2024, inflation closed at 1.2% lower than that of January, projecting a very important figure of 75% at this time, for annualized inflation, which would be the lowest inflation in twelve years of economic life. with their own efforts, sanctioned, blocked and persecuted; without three million barrels of exports at one hundred dollars each,” emphasized the head of state.

He stressed that “the issue of slowing inflation has been through self-effort and amidst difficulties.”

He highlighted that the Bolivarian Government has a plan, a guide, a strategy and dialogue of understanding to advance towards a recovery consensus for Venezuela.

During the broadcast, the Spanish political scientist and professor, Juan Carlos Monedero, intervened in the activity to express his vision of the economy and politics of Venezuela.

He asserted that Venezuela is in the right place, because “I come from a continent that is at war. For the first time in fifty years, again in Europe we have a war, and I would like to ask the people of Venezuela not to bring war here, to choose your international friends well in order to help you maintain peace.”

He expressed his joy at finding a Venezuela that, in the face of difficulties, has found the possibility of launching its productive apparatus:

I see here a productive apparatus that is built not for war, it is built for development, it is built and designed for the great challenges we have in the twenty-first century,” he said.
