Venezuela rejects actions by the Argentine Government and reiterates its air sovereignty

The Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, spoke, in his account on the X social network, regarding the communiqué recently published by the Casa Rosada, seat of the Argentine Government, in which that Southern nation states it will start diplomatic actions against Venezuela, in retaliation for having prohibited Argentine aircraft from flying over national airspace, in an act that was cataloged by the Venezuelan official as a “submissive act and obedient to its imperial master.”

“The neo-Nazi government of Argentina is not only submissive and obedient to its imperial master, but it has a ‘board-faced’ spokesperson: Mr. Manuel Adorni, pretends to ignore the consequences of his acts of piracy and theft against Venezuela, which were repeatedly warned before the criminal act committed against Emtrasur,” said Gil in his response.

This measure carried out by Caracas is related to the case of the Venezuelan Boeing 747 plane, belonging to Emtrasur, which was detained in Argentina since June 2022 and sent last February to the United States, for its subsequent dismantling and dismembering. In this sense, the measure taken by the Bolivarian Government in response was to deny the circulation of any civil or commercial aircraft coming from the Argentine country.

Subsequently, as explained by the Argentine presidential spokesman, Manuel Adorni, through a press conference at the headquarters of the Government: “Argentina is not going to allow itself to be extorted by the friends of terrorism”; For its part, Venezuela responded forcefully, and ratified this ban related to the case of the Emtrasur aircraft:

Venezuela exercises full sovereignty of its airspace, and reiterates that no aircraft, coming from or heading to Argentina, will be able to fly over our territory, until our company is duly compensated for the damages caused, after the illegal actions carried out, only in order to please their guardians from the north,” highlighted Chancellor Yván Gil, in his report.

Likewise, the departure of the plane to the United States was accompanied by an episode on February 6, when a Venezuelan diplomat in Buenos Aires took photos of the aircraft, for which he was declared persona non grata and had to leave the country in the following 48 hours. Two weeks after the plane’s departure, on February 29, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced the United States for the vile, criminal and outrageous act of dismantling the aircraft in a hangar in Miami (Florida).
