Venezuela ratifies its determination to defend the Essequibo territory (+Communiqué)

The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela ratified this Saturday its absolute determination to recover the Essequibo territory, and at the same time “build a future of peace and development for both nations,” said the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, after publishing an official statement in which commemorates the 58th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement:

The sun of Venezuela is born in Essequibo! Today, on the 58th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement, we ratify the determination to recover our territory and build a future of peace and development for both nations,” she wrote on the X digital network.

The position of the national Government is based on the call for the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to give due compliance to its obligations contained in the Geneva Agreement of 1966, while inviting it to avoid interference from external actors, “which in no way contributes to the good neighborliness and regional peaceful coexistence.”
