The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, rejected the statements by the US Senator, Jim Risch, who praised and justified the theft of the Emtrasur aircraft by Argentina and the United States:
“It is despicable to see this Mr. Jim Risch, praising and justifying an act of flagrant piracy perpetrated against the EMTRASUR plane,” expressed Gil through a message published on his account on the X social network.
He noted that this action “represents an insult to international legality and [is] another example of the falsehood and brutality of the American elites.”
He pointed out that this act of theft by the Joe Biden administration “manifests blatant complicity with illegal actions that threaten the sovereignty of countries,” while this measure “is repudiated by our brave people.”
He reiterated that the government of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, will persist in denouncing “the true pirates and raptors, who operate from the high echelons of power of the United States and its lackeys, regardless of the consequences for peace and justice in the world.”
Let us remember that last Monday, February 12, the Argentine government chaired by the far-right Javier Milei, handed over to the United States the plane of the Venezuelan airline EMTRASUR-Conviasa, thus consummating the theft of the aircraft through a process of illegal confiscation.
The ship is in Florida, USA, after making a stop in Haiti, carrying out the dispossession under the pretext of the unilateral coercive measures that are maintained against Venezuela.
It is worth mentioning that the Government of Venezuela will denounce Argentina and the US before the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the violation of international regulations.
