Venezuela strongly condemns terrorist attack in the city of Kerman in Iran

Through an official statement, the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, strongly condemned, on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the terrorist attack that occurred in the city of Kerman, this January 3, 2024, when was carried out the commemoration ceremony for the 4th anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani.

“The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that occurred in the city of Kerman, this January 3, 2024, within the framework of the commemoration of the 4th anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani, the which took the lives of at least 73 people and left more than 180 people injured, who were in the vicinity of the cemetery, paying tribute to Martyr Soleimani.

In this sense, Venezuela stands in solidarity with the brotherly People and Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and extends its heartfelt words of condolences to the family and friends of the victims, and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured, while urging because those responsible for such repudiated acts are legally punished.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, consistent with the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, firmly rejects terrorism in all its manifestations and deplores any act of violence that is intended to cause terror and anxiety in the civilian population and reaffirms its total attachment to life and integrity. physicality of people.”
