AN unveils new map of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

This Friday, from the Triptych room of the Federal Legislative Palace, the Board of the National Assembly (AN) unveiled the new map of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The president and second vice president of the Legislature, deputies Jorge Rodríguez (PSUV/Capital District) and América Pérez (PSUV/Nueva Esparta); as well as the secretary and undersecretary of the AN, María Alejandra Hernández and José Omar Molina; In the company of the members of the Special Commission for the Defense of the Territory of Guayana Esequiba and Territorial Sovereignty, they were in charge of the activity.

Rodríguez narrated the history of the Triptych room, saying that in 1911, on the occasion of the first centenary of the Declaration of Independence, the space was unveiled to record the stellar moments in the life of the Liberator Simón Bolívar.

He said that for this reason they carried out the activity in this emblematic room: “We wanted to record the feat of Venezuelan men and women who on December 3, with their vote, honored the legacy of the Liberator Simón Bolívar,” highlighted the highest authority of the Legislature.

He also addressed the smallest Venezuelans: “Let the boys and girls come and see their map of Venezuela, so that they understand how their parents, through the 5 times “Yes”, defended their homeland, their territory, and, therefore, the legacy of our liberators,” he emphasized.

The parliamentarian added that the green map that he unveiled should be the hope that has costed so much to sustain and care for. Furthermore, let it be a reminder so that no Venezuelan puts themselves at the command of hostile foreign interests against the people and the Republic.

Among the deputies present, were the president and first vice president of the Essequibo Special Commission, Hermann Escarrá (PSUV/Aragua) and William Fariñas (PSUV/Nueva Esparta) stood out; the president of the Permanent Commission for Security and Defense of the Nation, Jesús Suárez Chourio (PSUV/Apure); María Gabriela Vegas (PSUV/La Guaira), Ilenia Medina (PPT/National), and others.
