The Great Mission Housing Venezuela was created in 2011 by Commander Hugo Chávez, who initially called to attend to the Venezuelan families who had been left without a roof of their own as a result of the intense rains registered in the country at the end of 2010 and early 2011.

Subsequently, the GMVV was extended to the rest of the population, mainly to those families that for economic reasons -due to the high cost of real estate in the speculative market- had not been able to acquire their own home.

Currently, the Great Mission team gives happiness to Venezuelans, to provide living with decent homes and spaces for the integral development of families with public services
