Vice President Rodríguez and Ambassador of the Netherlands evaluate reopening border with Caribbean islands

The Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting on Monday with the ambassador of the Netherlands in the country, Robert Schuddeboom, in order to address the bilateral agenda between nations.

Through her account on the Twitter social network, Vice President Rodríguez explained that at the meeting was evaluated the reopening of the border with the Caribbean islands Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire:

We met with the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, @rschuddeboom to whom we conveyed the greetings of the president @NicolasMaduro. We address issues of our bilateral relationship and the steps to follow for the reopening of the border between Venezuela and Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire,” wrote Rodríguez on the social network.

In 2019, President Nicolás Maduro ordered the closure of the air and sea borders with these three islands.
