This Wednesday, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, commemorated the 23rd anniversary of the installation of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC):
“23 years of People’s Power. We remember the installation of the ANC, an initiative of Commander Hugo Chávez, which allowed the profound transformation of Venezuelan society; it opened the floodgates of leading democracy”, stressed the Head of State through his social networks.
It is worth mentioning that the ANC was installed on August 3, 1999 with the aim of drafting a new Constitution, proposed by Commander Hugo Chávez, as President of the Republic at that time.
