The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, promulgated this Wednesday the Organic Law of the Special Economic Zones (LOZEE), a legal instrument approved by the National Assembly (AN) to promote productive development in delimited areas under special incentives.
When signing the Organic Law of Special Economic Zones, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, stated that these «come to give a special boost over all to the process of recovery and economic growth, looking to the future of the development of the Venezuelan economy”.
Before representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the country, spokespersons of the industrial and business associations, deputies of the National Assembly and the governors of the states where these first five Special Economic Zones have been instituted, the Head of State reiterated that Venezuela has resumed this path “for the promotion of the productive forces and the attraction of investments that lead to the high development of trade”.
In this context, he highlighted the importance of defining the first Special Economic Zones, since it will give «a clear message to the world so that they all come to Venezuela and so that those who are already may deepen their investments”.
To build trust:
In the act of promulgation of the Organic Law of the Special Economic Zones, also participated legislator Jesús Faría, president of the Commission of Finances and Economic Development of the Venezuelan Parliament, who detailed the hard work that was carried out from the National Assembly, together with the productive sectors of the country, to achieve this legal instrument:
«Venezuela projects itself very strongly through the Special Economic Zones law, as a valid option to invest (…), it will also be a very important contribution to continue consolidating trust and credibility in our country,» he said.
For his part Luis Eduardo Martínez, deputy by the Acción Democrática party, stated that through the Law «the economy will continue its recovery», while specifying that through this article «it will be possible to guarantee that private, mixed, communal, national and foreign investments are turned over the areas that are delimited”.
Fiscal benefits:
Meanwhile, Deputy Orlando Camacho indicated that “these investments are going to have tax benefits, they are going to be able to generate employment that allows the worker to improve purchasing capacities and purchasing power; this will also allow a commercial relationship with other countries.”
Camacho told President Nicolás Maduro that he “counts on the entrepreneurs to continue investing and make the country become a power.»
The head of state, Nicolás Maduro, invited everyone to study, debate and learn about the Organic Law of Special Economic Zones, underlining that «we all have to build a new economic stage, of growth, of development, that contributes to the country all the virtues that a process of expansion and development of the real productive forces must contribute”.
