This Wednesday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, warned again about the real danger of a nuclear war being triggered in the world:
“The world war in its first phase is economic, with sanctions, blockades, uncertainty in prices, in the supply of food, raw materials, energy products, in the use of the financial system to twist the arms of the regions”, denounced the Head of the Venezuelan State.
In this sense he warned of the real time development of a “world economic war”, after the attacks on the Russian Federation for the developing situation in Ukraine:
“Today, there is a war on the southern border of Russia because of those who did not comply with the agreements with Russia, those who tried to siege it and who announced that Ukraine was going to have nuclear weapons”, he said.
In this regard, he reiterated the underlying danger of that this war “would expand into Europe and the world (…) There is a danger that a global nuclear war would break out. Venezuela makes the call to awaken the world conscience, the world war has already started, and it is economic”, he stressed.
He also warned of the danger that the economic war could escalate into an open military war: “And what is worse, (into) a nuclear war. I ask for the support of the Venezuelan people for peace in Venezuela, Latin America and the world”.
“Venezuela, in a modest way, plays a role in world geopolitics, our word counts,” stressed the head of state.
