Vice President Delcy Rodríguez pointed out initial dialogue with the US cannot be conditioned

The initial approaches cannot be conditioned under any circumstances, and this approach was made within the strict scope of bilateral relations. It is a first approximation and we hope that development, within the framework of diplomacy and constructive dialogue, can advance”, said Vice President Delcy Rodríguez on Friday, regarding the recent rapprochement between the White House and the constitutional government headed by President Nicholas Maduro.

In an interview offered after her participation in the 2nd Diplomatic Forum of Antalya, in Turkey, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez pointed out that “this moment depends on a great maturity of the rulers”:

“We cannot assume international relations from a childish perspective”, she said, recalling that it was the United States that cut off energy, economic and cooperation relations with Venezuela.

Duque’s government promotes hatred and intolerance against Venezuela:

When asked about relations with Colombia, she stated that it is a case that must be studied with great caution due to its complexity, in which elements such as the high rate of displacement generated by its internal conflict, being the main producer of coca according to the United Nations, and endanger the stability of the Colombian-Venezuelan border by allowing the presence of paramilitary groups and Colombian drug traffickers.

In this sense, she affirmed that Iván Duque’s government has had a position of irrationality, hatred and intolerance towards Venezuela, which has even affected its population:

“Iván Duque’s government really has a warmongering position,” she pointed out.

Russian military bases:

Likewise, regarding the matrix generated on the alleged possibility that Russia would request to install military bases in Venezuelan territory, she explained emphatically that the Venezuelan constitution does not allow the establishment of foreign military bases in the country.

She also referred to the negative impact of manipulated matrixes, biased information and editorialized opinions of the powers that be: “be it the financial capital or a military emporium expressed through the corporatized media”.

Oil market:

In economic matters and regarding the position of Venezuela as an oil producing and exporting country in the current world situation, she assured that the country will remain within the OPEC Plus agreement.

“Venezuela is a fervent responsible defender of international spaces and agreements, and Venezuela has been affected (by the blockade)” If there were no blockade, this would not be the level of production in Venezuela, she asserted.

Shortly before, in her speech before the 2nd Antalya Diplomatic Forum, she reiterated that it is time to call for diplomacy and active dialogue.

He emphasized that the single model imposed by capitalism has no way out, and urged the United States, Europe, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Russia to restore balance.

The model of domination must understand that in the 21st century the cost of its hegemony can extinguish the planet and that economic wars lead to the collective punishment of peoples”, she stated.
