The Sectoral Vice President for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, Vladimir Padrino López, urged this Thursday to see as “an opportunity” for Venezuela, the configuration of a new world economic order, caused by the situation between Russia and Ukraine:
“The tectonic plates are moving and the configuration of a new economic and world order appears, one that should mean an opportunity for Venezuela,” said Padrino López during the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Bomboná.
“It is not that we are contemplating what is happening in the world. We have the responsibility as a people, as a historical project, so that in these circumstances, we guarantee national peace, national scientific development, always within the scheme of our revolutionary principles”, added the also Minister for Defense, from the National Pantheon, in Caracas.
During the journey, Padrino López highlighted the strategy of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, in the battle he waged against the Spanish yoke:
“200 years ago and at this time, Bolívar decided to launch the attack against the Spanish army assisted by his instinct and by his experience in the Battle of Bomboná”, he stressed.
In this regard, Padrino López pointed out that it is necessary to raise the flags of the just patriots to defeat the new attacks:
“Today we can, we still have lightning, there are lightning up there in the clouds to discharge, because what it is here and will be is the will to overcome”, he said.
Earlier, Padrino López participated in a forum held at the facilities of the Bolivarian Military University, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of this historic event.
In the forum, Vladimir Padrino López explained that these spaces are essential to “share historical reflections that nourish us” at the moment we are living.
