This Monday a round table was held between the Sectoral Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, and the Vice President for Public Works and Services M/G Néstor Reverol along with their respective teams, with the purpose of designing the National Integral Service System for Expressways, in response to emergencies that arise on the country’s highways, roads and trunk lines:
“This system will have a multidisciplinary team, both from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace, and the Vice Presidency of Services, to not only guarantee the safety of users who use the country’s expressways; but also to provide comprehensive care on the subject of road maintenance, public lighting, medical care and ambulance service, when an accident with injuries occurs”, reported Vice President Reverol Torres.
For his part, the head of Citizen Security and Peace, A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, added that the National System of Integral Attention for Road Emergencies has been created, in coordination with all states to add attention efforts on the main roads of the country, in addition to activating communications equipment that will attend to any type of emergency.
The Admiral in Chief stressed that during these carnivals the Integral Emergency care units will be activated: “they will be deployed along the country’s roads with everything necessary in pre-hospital medical care and other types of emergency, in firefighting and assistance to people who need it, articulated to serve the people as required by the Constitution”
For his part, the Sectoral Vice President of Public Works and Services, G/J Néstor Reverol, added that “this system will be part of a multidisciplinary team from the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace; and the Vice Presidency of Services, to guarantee the safety of users who use the country’s express roads and also comprehensive care in the area of road maintenance, public lighting, ambulance care”.
“We will also carry out coordination with the governors, on the 64 tolls that exist in the country, since most of them are in charge of the regional governments, to articulate the efforts to enforce this National Comprehensive System of Attention of the expressways,” he said.
