Venezuela strengthens cooperation ties with Equatorial Guinea on hydrocarbons

Venezuela strengthens cooperation ties with Equatorial Guinea in matters of hydrocarbons by signing a confidentiality agreement this Wednesday between the Vice President of the Economy Sector, Tareck El Aissami and the Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of that country, Gabriel Mbaa Obiang Lima.

The Minister for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, assured that the Bolivarian Government of President Nicolás Maduro, together with the people, assumes the commitment to accompany Equatorial Guinea in the hydrocarbon development plans of his nation based on technical assistance and knowledge exchange on this area.

He emphasized: “Now we are being reborn in love, in hope and in work, in the construction of a better world, free and equal, that is why Africa and South America have a lot to do for this new world”.

Too. El Aissami ratified the entire disposition of the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to place this experience that our country has of more than 100 years of oil production, at the command of the people of Equatorial Guinea.

We feel Africa in our soul, in our heart. This political will to overcome any adversity is also at the command of the Equatorial Guinea people. This is a great South-South cooperation to achieve the energy independence of our nations and we are happy to have completed this signature”- said the Sectoral Vice President for the Economy.

It only remains to thank you for your trust in Venezuela and do not expect less than reciprocity to that trust to continue developing roads, common destinations in favor and for the benefit of our countries. On his behalf, the representative of Equatorial Guinea, Obiang Lima pointed out that said agreement signed between representatives of both countries constitutes an important milestone, since it traces the path towards complementarity and oil development between both nations.

In this sense, Obiang Lima highlighted the importance of cooperation in exploration, refinery management and training, technical areas of high interest for the African country,

To this end, both sister countries will establish technical coordination plans for implementation, after the agreement signed and the possibility of holding other meetings in person, in order to advance Venezuela-Equatorial Guinea cooperation.

It should be noted that the Vice Minister for Africa of the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yuri Pimentel, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea also participated in this videoconference.
