Venezuela and the UN articulate joint cooperation programs

This Tuesday was installed the Joint Planning Workshop between the Bolivarian Government and the United Nations System within the framework of development cooperation.

The event was attended by the permanent representative of the United Nations System, Gianluca Rampolla, the sectoral vice presidents, and was chaired by Minister Ricardo Menéndez and ministers of the national government.

During the meeting, Venezuela and the representatives of the United Nations (UN) reviewed the lines of cooperation for the coming years, as reported the resident coordinator of the organization in the country, Gianluca Rampolla, through his account on the Twitter social network, @gianlucarampoll.

In this sense, Rampolla pointed out that this journey allows to start in Caracas a space for the constructive exchange of ideas with the authorities of the national government:

“For Venezuela, the next cooperation framework with the United Nations may offer a tremendous opportunity to return to the path of the Sustainable Development Goals”, said Rampolla in the tweet.

Venezuela continues to strengthen cooperation with the UN. On November 29, a delegation from the country presented the advances in statistics and geography before a delegation from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean ECLAC.
