Regarding the holding of the 21st OPEC + Ministerial Meeting this Monday, the Sectoral Vice President for Economy and Minister of People’s Power for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, said that Venezuela is at the vanguard of such an important organization, which has allowed to advance united in the stability of the oil market in the framework of the crisis generated by COVID-19.
This was reported in a publication of his account on the Twitter social network, @TareckPSUV. “The week started with the 21st OPEC + Ministerial Meeting, and (with) Venezuela at the vanguard of this important organization that has allowed us to advance together in the stability of the world energy market. We shall overcome”.
This meeting allows to evaluate the situation of the world oil market and reviewing the levels of compliance in the adjustment of production, agreed by each of the OPEC + nations, with the purpose of ratifying or adjusting the roadmap in favor of the recovery of the World economy.
The meeting is chaired by the Chairman of the Ministerial Joint Monitoring Committee and Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz Bin Salmán Al Saud; the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation and co-chairman, Alexander Novak; the Minister of Mineral Resources and Hydrocarbons of Angola and president of the OPEC Conference, Diamantino Azevedo, and the Secretary General of OPEC, Mohammad Barkindo, who started the journey.
