The Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) denounced the arbitrary detention by the Colombian National Police of two Venezuelan soldiers attached to the Zone Command No. 21 of the Bolivarian National Guard, located in Táchira state.
The Colombian Government intends to incriminate the Venezuelan military for crimes of trafficking and carrying weapons, ammunition and other accessories, which are not part of the allocation assigned to the Bolivarian National Guard, in order to generate instability in the region.
The Bolivarian National Armed Forces reiterates that this is implausible, does not endorse the accusation, and therefore demands the release of the military professionals, as reads a statement signed this Wednesday, September 29, 2021, by General in Chief Domingo Antonio Hernández Lares, Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.
