The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, thanked the Government of the United Mexican States, headed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, for the support provided to Venezuela in the dialogue process currently being developed by the Bolivarian Government and the opposition in Mexico City.
During his speech at the 6th Summit of Heads of State of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, CELAC, President Nicolás Maduro reiterated his request for support to all the countries of the region for the advancement of this initiative aimed at a resolution in peace of the Venezuelan conflicts:
“I want to publicly thank the Government of Mexico for all the support they are giving to Venezuela in the peace and sovereignty dialogues that are taking place. I ask for the support of all the governments of Latin America and the Caribbean, because the only path that Venezuela can have is dialogue, it is peace, it is reunion, it is reconciliation”, emphasized Maduro.
In this regard, the Venezuelan head of state highlighted that on November 21, a mega-election journey will take place in Venezuela, to renew the authorities in governorships, mayors, regional and municipal councils, reiterating his invitation to the CELAC member countries to accompany this process so that they can attest to the democratic process that exists in Venezuela:
“It is the 29th election that the country has held in recent years, we have had 28 elections, we have won 26 of them, with votes, now we are going to election 29. The entire opposition has registered and will participate freely, well, welcome. May the one who has to win, win”, he said.
He finally thanked for the celebration of the 6th Celac Summit and its development in the spirit of the debate despite the marked differences that have manifested within the summit.
