“We revolutionaries assumed Chávez as someone great, since the first day”. Thus expressed the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during an interview to the “Eternal Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías” Foundation, within the framework of the 67th Anniversary of the birth of the Giant of the Homeland.
Accompanied by the First Combatant and Deputy to the NA by the PSUV, Cilia Flores, he recalled that from the first day they articulated “with the Chávez feeling, with the Chávez hope and then with the Bolivarian Revolutionary Movement 200″.
The Head of State recalled the moment in which he met the leader and founder of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez: “on December 16, after visiting Chávez, I went out of there levitating and I said to myself: This is the way, there is no other. Today I can say that everything Chavez told us in that room, he did it”, stated Maduro Moros.

During the special broadcast of the anecdotal report “Protagonists of an Insurgent History”, broadcasted on VTV, President Maduro recalled: “Commander Hugo Chávez is released as a result of an electoral offer made by Rafael Caldera. So, once he takes office, all the officers that were imprisoned in Fort Tiuna and Yare begin to be released”.
“Chávez was not a construction by marketing, as these bandits of the right wing are, Chávez was a construction by our own history”, President Maduro pointed out.
On her part, Cilia Flores pointed out: “We were not wrong with Chavez because he kept his project until the last moment”, said the First Combatant Woman.
“The people did not make any mistake, we did not make a mistake with Chávez, because until his last moment he kept his project, his authenticity, his frankness”, finally expressed Cilia Flores.
The Venezuelan people celebrated this Wednesday of July the 67th anniversary of the birth of the fundamental leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, a day during which several joyful demonstrations are planned throughout the national territory.
