Venezuela registers community cases for Covid-19

During the last 24 hours, Venezuela registered a total of 1,421 new COVID-19 infections, all by community transmission.

This was announced on Thursday on the social network Twitter by the Minister for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, also highlighting that unfortunately, 17 new deaths are reported to reach (a total of) 2,576:

– 2 women, 68 and 79 years old, and 2 men, 66 and 78 years old from Barinas state

2 women, aged 84 and 90 years old and a man, 62 years old from Miranda state

2 women, aged 60 and 74 years old, from Anzoátegui state

2 men, aged 60 and 71 years old from Guárico state

2 men 58, 85 years old from Nueva Esparta state

2 men, 54 and 71 years old from Sucre state

A 54-year-old woman from Trujillo state

– A 43-year-old woman from Lara state.

“Condolences to their relatives and close ones”, said Ñáñez.

The head of the Bolivarian Government Communication Portfolio also added: “Thanks to the strategic alliances with sister countries. This is part of the actions that Pres. @NicolasMaduro has been executing to achieve the immunization of the Venezuelan people”.

Finally, in his tweet thread Freddy Ñáñez stated that: “Today the Executive Vice President @delcyrodriguezv reported that this weekend there will be an extended vaccination journey in our country”.
