The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, acknowledged the vocation and dedication of the country’s nurses:
“I admire those who, with love and professionalism, serve and defend the health of the people in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic,” wrote the Head of State in his account @NicolasMaduro, on the Twitter social network.
Delcy Rodríguez, vice president of the Republic, also congratulated the nurses on her day: “Who have carefully cared for our people and have stood firm, battling against Covid-19″, in the public and private health system.
International Nurses Day is a commemoration promoted by the International Council of Nursing, in honor of Florence Nightingale.
