Venezuela and Vietnam review cooperation agenda

The Vice Minister for Asia, Middle East and Oceania, Capaya Rodríguez González, and the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Le Viet Duyen, exchanged opinions on various issues of common interest between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and that allied nation.

The work meeting took place in an atmosphere of great cordiality in which, among other important aspects that were addressed, was reiterated the purpose of working in close coordination to make the next visit of the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, to that sisterly country, and to advance conversations destined to celebrate the 4th Venezuela – Vietnam Mixed High Level Commission.

Senior diplomatic officials reviewed the pending cooperation agenda in areas such as politics, agriculture, energy, and trade and investment, as well as the participation of Vietnam as guest of honor in the next edition of the International Book Fair of Venezuela. (FILVEN-2021), in order to establish a roadmap aimed at raising bilateral relations to a higher level, for the benefit of both parties.

Vice Minister Capaya Rodríguez highlighted the intense activity carried out by Ambassador Le Viet Duyen in recent months, having interviewed numerous Ministers and visited several states of Venezuela, being able to verify in the field the wide possibilities of multi-sectoral cooperation that our country offers for joint development.
