President Maduro announces re-launching of Gran Misión Barrio Tricolor

The constitutional President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro announced the re-launching of the Gran Misión Barrio Nuevo Barrio Tricolor, (Great Mission New Neighborhood, Tricolor Beighborhood), for which a comprehensive work plan must be presented within 30 days.

During his intervention in the commemorative act for the 10th anniversary of the Gran Misión Vivienda Venezuela (Great Mission Housing Venezuela), the Venezuelan President insisted on the need to “persevere in the dream that the Great Mission Barrio Nuevo, Barrio Tricolor builds new communities and fixes the neighborhoods of Venezuela”.

In this context, he ordered the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez to coordinate the necessary actions to achieve this goal and accelerate the progress so that this Mission fulfills its objective of transforming the habitat and community life of all the neighborhoods of Venezuela.

This was instructed by the Head of State during a ceremony held at the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas, during which he delivered the GMMV housing number 3,550,000 in Cojedes state, as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of this priority social program created by Commander Hugo Chávez to deliver decent housing to the Venezuelan people: “We are the country in the world that has built the most housings in ten years”, said President Maduro.

Likewise, Maduro announced that the Bolivarian Government will give a national and international award to outstanding workers, communities that have undertaken self-construction, architects and designers who have stood out for their contributions to the progress of the Great Mission Housing Venezuela – GMVV.

He assured that in the framework of the Bicentennial of the victory in the Battle of Carabobo, “in the wonderful light of freedom, we are going to surpass 500,000 houses this year, resuming the rhythm of construction towards 5 million houses”, he emphasized.
