Pope Francis rejected foreign intervention in Venezuela

Pope Francis rejected any foreign intervention in Venezuela. Thus was expressed in his message to the Venezuelan people, on the occasion of the beatification of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández.

He especially asked God that no intervention from abroad may prevent Venezuelans from walking the path of national unity that he is accompanying.

He exhorted Venezuelans to opt for national unity and mutual recognition, as we all are children of the same homeland.

He prayed for the leaders of all sectors of society, and called on them to work seriously for the unity that will allow peace and prosperity for all citizens.
