The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, described as a “terrible, disgusting and nauseating corruption of the coup-plotting right wing” the opposition plot to steal more than 53 million dollars, as revealed this Tuesday by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez:
“Guaidó wanted to steal millions of dollars. Videos and evidence about this corruption plot were presented. There are creepy recordings about the distribution of millions of dollars that belong to the Republic, necessary to buy vaccines, food. By distributing it to Julio Borges, Juan Guaidó, Leopoldo López, the money that Venezuela needs for its vaccines, for medicines and food and that they have kidnapped and stolen from the United States Federal Reserve and the country’s accounts abroad”, he stressed.
When pronouncing on this complaint, the National President assured that it is irrefutable evidence that demonstrates the criminal nature of this sector of the coup-plotting right “of this group of criminals, who also signed a contract to invade the country and assassinate Venezuelans.”
At noon, Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, president of the National Assembly, presented evidence of the actions carried out by a group of former opposition deputies led by Sergio Vergara to seize more than 53 million dollars from the Republic, which remain blocked in the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
According to the evidence, audios and documents presented at this press conference by Rodríguez, the resources were distributed among the heads of the so-called G4, presenting them as expenses of the various instances of the “interim government”.
