ALBA-TCP celebrates educational achievements made by Cuba and Venezuela despite the economic war led by the United States

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas, the Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), celebrated the educational achievements made by Cuba and Venezuela amidst the economic war and the unilateral coercive measures applied by the outgoing government of U.S.

This was reported by the secretary of the regional alliance, Sacha Llorenti, who was accompanied by the Chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza, through the videoconference held at the meeting of Ministers of Education of ALBA-TCP held this Monday.

“Venezuela makes the Every Family is a School program available as part of the policies developed in its basic education system during quarantine to continue promoting access to free, inclusive and quality distance education” stressed Llorenti.

At the same time, he acknowledged the need to design an ALBA-TCP educational portal that allows communication and exchange of information, as well as coordination between the member countries of the regional bloc in order to resume agreements and establish new concrete plans and vials given the current health situation.

He stressed that from this true integration, it seeks to promote development as new initiatives as part of the Great-National ALBA Educational project, in order to project educational models and maintain joint positions in the different international cooperation meetings of the organization.

We promoted the Uni-ALBA Network with the development of a common ALBA-TCP university education action plan. To promote the organization of virtual and face-to-face sessions in an exchange of experience of the countries of this organization in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic”, he pointed out.
