Chancellor Arreaza summons the union of Venezuelans to face the coercive measures

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, convened this Wednesday the union of Venezuelans to face the coercive measures imposed by the United States (USA) and intensified during the situation of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic:

“Venezuelans must act in coordination regardless of political positions, we share a constitutional project,” expressed the Venezuelan Chancellor after concluding his meeting with the Permanent Commission on Foreign Policy of the National Assembly.

The unity of Venezuelans, detailed the Venezuelan diplomat, should focus on the fight for the Essequibo territory, which is in dispute with Guyana, who intend to enforce the arbitration award of Paris.

On the other hand, he highlighted the meeting between the Foreign Ministry and the Parliament, to design a joint State agenda to face the sanctions.

The appearance before the Permanent Commission of Foreign Policy “vindicates the institutionality of the Venezuelan State and will allow us to tackle a subject as delicate as the comprehensive aggression against Venezuela in a jointly manner,” he stressed.

The president of the Permanent Commission on Foreign Policy, Timoteo Zambrano, indicated that the AN will create a subcommission that will work with the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, to continue the evaluation work and present progress to face the sanctions.

With the imposition of sanctions, Venezuela has lost more than 102,000 million dollars, as well as it has affected the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country, taking it to figures very similar to countries of the war.
