Bolivarian Government will assist Venezuelan rape victim in Argentina

The Minister for Women and Gender Equality, Carolys Pérez, informed that the Venezuelan Government will provide the necessary support to an 18-year-old Venezuelan girl who was a rape victim in Argentina.

“From the Bolivarian Government, the pertinent steps are being taken to support her”, said the minister in response to a denounce made on Twitter, where is reported this fact and the irregular action by the Argentinean justice system, which released the attacker despite having been caught in flagrante delicto.

In the complaint made by the user @Eglims21, there is a video that shows the moment of the capture of Irineo Garzón, an Argentinean owner of a local who had offered employment to the victim and on the first day of his attendance to the business, he drugged her using a (glass of) water that he offered to the Venezuelan woman.

“The judge handling the case, by the name of Karina Zucconi, has a history as an accomplice of misogynist aggressors. She did it before with the case of the femicide of Marianela Rago. A similar proceeding in which she indicated that ‘evidence was lacking’ to incriminate the aggressor,” he accused.
