Cuban Vice Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas arrives in Venezuela on official visit

At the “Simon Bolivar” International Airport, the Vice Minister for Latin America of the People’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rander Peña, welcomed on Thursday the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba and co-president of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Cuba-Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, Ricardo Cabrisas, who will hold meetings at the highest level with authorities of the Bolivarian Government during his official visit.

The Cuban delegation that arrived in the country also includes Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment; Nicolás Liván Arronte, Minister of Mines and Energy; Martha Wilson González, Minister-President of the Central Bank of Cuba and Roberto López, Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade.

Dagoberto Rodríguez, Cuban ambassador accredited in Venezuela, was also present during the reception at the airport.

Mid this month, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez held a working meeting with Vice Prime Minister Cabrisas in Havana, in which they reviewed the strategic cooperation projects for 2020 and evaluated those proposed for this year.

The high-ranking Cuban government official was in Caracas in January 2020 to chair for his country the 20th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Cuba-Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement.

Twenty years after the signing of the aforementioned agreement, Venezuela and Cuba continue to strengthen their strategic alliance at the highest level, with the establishment of bilateral cooperation programs and projects in different areas of interest and benefit to both peoples.
