“This is what I propose: For in the month of April, on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Mission Barrio Adentro, we meet for a Great Congress of Public Health, the Great Congress of Health in April”.
The information was announced by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during a meeting with the General Staff for Health.
The Head of State highlighted that this Congress will present management balances in matters of health, evaluation of strategies for the reinforcement of the nation’s health system.
“We are going to finalize the details, Héctor Rodríguez, comrades of the national leadership, of the social movements, we are going to finalize the details so that doctors, nurses, nurses, all the health personnel feel that in Venezuela a powerful social movement will be born from this congress to defend the rights of the health personnel, but above all to defend the right to free and quality public health”, instructed the Dignitary.
President Maduro congratulated the health personnel, recognizing the hard work they have done to fight the COVID-19 pandemic: “This is the path of the Great Homeland, the path of public health”, he underlined.
