Venezuela and Russia strengthen military cooperation projects between both nations

This Tuesday, the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino Lopez, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Venezuela, Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov, where they discussed different issues, including the military cooperation projects between both nations.

Likewise, they analyzed the following aspects: Russia’s role in world peace, the Sputnik V vaccine, among others.

The information was provided by the portfolio for the Defense through the account of the Twitter digital social network @mppdefensa1, where he wrote: «Pleasant meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov. We talked about the role of Russia in world peace, the Sputnik V vaccine, the military cooperation projects between both nations and the historical right of Venezuela over the Esequibo».

Venezuela and Russia maintain bonds in areas such as military cooperation since the government of Commander Hugo Chávez and agreements have been signed in different strategic areas.
