Mass vaccination against Covid-19 could begin in April 2021

“I have great hope that in the first quarter of 2021, and I have set the month of April as a goal, for Venezuela to begin mass vaccination (against COVID-19)”, informed the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, this Wednesday.

The head of state announced that high-level talks with the governments of China and Russia are continuing to have the vaccines currently being developed by both countries to combat Coronavirus:

“I have great faith that in the first quarter of 2021 we can buy millions of vaccines and, in addition, produce them in Venezuela”, said the head of state.

Doctors, nurses, health personnel, teachers, students, older adults and people with risk illnesses will be cared for.

“It will not be an easy nor short process, but we will do it”, said President Maduro.
