This Tuesday the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, announced that the arrival of complete vaccines from Russia and China is expected for the next months of December and January, with the objective of initiating the Plan of Massive Vaccination for the entire Venezuelan people.
Likewise, he extended his call to the Ministry of People’s Power for Health, as well as to the medical brigades, the Communes and the educational sector to prepare themselves for the attention of the people.
In this regard, he said that the Communes should prepare themselves from this moment to evaluate the priorities, which should be the elderly, people with some chronic illness, teachers, doctors and nurses: «We are going from the most prioritized sectors, until having the entire people vaccinated against Covid-19”.
He also indicated that so far, Cuba has two vaccines, Sovereign 1, which is in the third phase and the other is Sovereign 1A, which is in the process of starting its first phase; «it is the only country in the third world that is making its own vaccine, and that is a reason to congratulate and take the Cuban people as an example”, he said.
