OPEC Cooperation Agreement reached historical level of compliance with production adjustment

The Minister of People’s Power for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, announced this Thursday that the Cooperation Agreement of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC+) made it possible to reach in August a historical level of compliance with the production adjustment of 101 percent.

“We applaud the excellent results of the cooperative work of OPEC+, which has allowed us to reach a historic level of compliance with the production adjustment commitment in the month of August, of 101%, which contributes to our efforts to rebalance the world market”, stressed the also Sectorial Vice President for the Economic Area, through his account on the Twitter social network, @Tareckpsuv.

In the context of the 22nd Meeting of the OPEC+ Joint Monitoring Ministerial Committee held this Thursday via videoconference from Vienna, Austria, to evaluate the results of the cooperative work of the organization, El Aissami highlighted the participation of Venezuela: “Raising the flags of dialogue and cooperation as the way to overcome today’s difficulties and build a bright future for our peoples”.

The Meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Joint Monitoring and Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz Bin Salmán Al Saud; the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation and co-chair of the Ministerial Joint Monitoring Committee, Alexander Novak; the Algerian Minister of Energy and President of the OPEC 2020 Conference, Abdelmadjid Attar, and OPEC’s Secretary General, Mohammad Barkindo.
