President Maduro calls for maximum discipline during general and partial flexibilization

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recalled that this Monday began the week of flexibilization in two modalities plus radical quarantine in border municipalities, and therefore he urged the population to maintain discipline and maximum prevention, in order to decrease the spread of COVID-19.

“We go with discipline and maximum prevention from today, Monday, August 24, to the 7 days of general and necessary flexibilization throughout the country, except in the city of Caracas, La Guaira and Miranda states, where we will have partial flexibilization. Let’s continue in Battle and in Victory!” He wrote on his social media accounts.

Capital District, Miranda and La Guaira take again from this Monday, August 24 to Sunday, August 30 the partial flexibilization where 10 economic sectors will be active.

In this stage will be incorporated into commercial activity the construction, hardware, chemical raw materials, banking agencies, transportation, hairdressers, mechanical workshops and auto parts sectors, medical, dental and veterinary offices, textile industry and personalized services, which will work according to the time slot established at the beginning of June.

“In this formula, the main axis to guarantee control of the pandemic and cut the chains of contagion is the citizen, its own level of consciousness, social responsibility and discipline”, reported the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, from Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.

Meanwhile, the states Zulia, Bolívar, Táchira, Apure, Mérida, Monagas, Trujillo, Yaracuy, Carabobo, Guárico, Portuguesa, Cojedes, Aragua, Sucre, Nueva Esparta, Anzoátegui, Delta Amacuro, Amazonas, Falcón and Barinas will be in wide flexibilization with the activation of 24 economic sectors.
