Venezuela and Turkey strengthen ties of economic and cultural cooperation

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, welcomed this Tuesday to the Chancellor of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, in the Simón Bolívar Hall of Miraflores Palace.

The meeting was held in order to strengthen strategic alliances between both nations, which include economic and cultural agreements.

Çavuşoğlu arrived in the South American nation and, after his arrival, held meetings with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, and then with the vice president Delcy Rodríguez.

Arreaza and Çavuşoğlu signed various agreements on economic, social, educational and cultural matters in order to reinforce bilateral cooperation.

Through these agreements, Turkey will build two hospitals in the country. In addition, educational and cultural exchanges will take place between both nations. All this within the framework of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Caracas and Ankara:

“I am happy to be in Venezuela once again, we have managed to keep our promise of one ministerial visit a year, particularly on this 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations”, said the head of the Turkish diplomacy from the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, in La Guaira state.
