Covid-19 Positive cases in Venezuela exceed 10,000

Venezuela registers on Tuesday 10,010 positive cases of Covid-19 coronavirus, after detecting 303 new infections in the last 24 hours, as reported the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

The Venezuelan head of state detailed that 281 cases are by community transmission, and 22 cases are imported.

In reference to the cases of community transmission, the National President explained that 56 correspond to Miranda state, and 42 are located in the Capital District.

Regarding the cases in Miranda, the Venezuelan president noted that the cases were registered in Baruta (16), Petare (9), Ocumare del Tuy (7), Guatire (5), Charallave (3), Cúa (3), Santa Teresa (2), Caucagua (1), Higuerote (1), El Hatillo (1).

On the other hand, in Caracas cases were detected in the parishes El Valle (6), Coche (4), Altagracia (4), San Agustín (3), San Juan (3), Sucre (3), El Paraíso (3) , El Junquito (2), Santa Rosalía (1), Antímano (1), Caricuao (1), San Pedro (1), January 23 (1).

Similarly, were detected seven cases of residents in Miranda state, but were detected in journeys in Caracas.

Cases were also confirmed in the states Zulia (35), Carabobo (23), Anzoátegui (22), Bolívar (22), Sucre (21), Lara (18), Mérida (17), Aragua (11), Portuguesa (9 ) and La Guaira (5).

Of the community transmission cases confirmed this Tuesday, 22 are minors.

Likewise, were detected 22 imported cases, of which 18 are coming from Colombia, two from Brazil, and two are from contact with international travelers.

On the other hand, three new deaths due to coronavirus are counted, bringing the death toll from the outbreak to 96. One of the deaths was registered in Falcón state, another in Zulia and another in Trujillo state.
