Starts High Level videoconference of Alba-TCP on post-pandemic economy begins

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, began this Wednesday the high-level videoconference of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas-Peoples Trade Treaty (Alba-TCP).

Under the name of “Economy, Finances and Trade within the framework of Covid-19”, this online meeting organized by Alba-TCP aims to establish a debate on the situation of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, and the economic strategies that can be promoted in the post-pandemic era.

In addition to the block’s heads of state and government, the event includes the participation of the executive secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (Eclac), Alicia Bárcenas; the Spanish professor, semiologist, historian and journalist Ignacio Ramonet and the director of the Tricontinental Institute for Social Research, Vijay Prashad.
