More than 108,000 health workers are deployed across the country

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported this Thursday that a total of 108,409 health workers are deployed throughout the national territory to take care of all people with Covid-19 coronavirus symptoms.

During a work journey with the health sector, he explained that, of the total figure; 65,106 are in the regional health directorates, 7,031 belong to the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS), 21,752 correspond to the Medical Mission from Cuba, while 14,520 are part of other attached health entities.

In this sense, he pointed out that the National Government also has 398 Integral Diagnostic Centers (CDI), which are fully equipped throughout the national territory.

Similarly, Venezuela has 58 hospitals that function as Sentinel Centers, and 60 certified clinics and 13,000 basic health teams deployed in the communities.

In this regard, he thanked the alliance with the private health sector to address the situation of the pandemic in the country, which has already registered 311 positive cases, 126 recovered and 10 deceased.
