National Government reinforces the Public Health System

The National Government reinforces the Public Health System by rehabilitating and equipping health centers throughout the Republic to face the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was reported on Thursday afternoon by the head of state and government, Nicolás Maduro Moros, within the framework of the seventeenth anniversary of the Mission Barrio Adentro.

The first contact was established with the National Institute of Hygiene “Dr. Rafael Rangel”, a health reference center for the Prevention, Surveillance and Health Control of Venezuelans in the face of the infectious crisis that has hit the world, claiming the lives of more than 144,000 people.

This center carries out molecular analysis protocols for the detection of sources of infection, following techniques to diagnose respiratory viruses, as established by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

Health, as a universal right, is a priority for the Revolution and the Bolivarian Government that President Maduro leads today.

In this line, the President established contact with regional authorities to supervise and deliver to the people health centers fully rehabilitated and conditioned for their care.

From the La Casona Cultural “Aquiles Nazoa” in the Venezuelan capital, the Dignitary reported on the repair of the Integral Diagnostic Center (CDI) “Dr. Américo Negrete”, of the San Francisco parish, in Zulia state.

These spaces were recovered at the level of infrastructure and provision of medical equipment and supplies, which allowed the total remodeling of the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Room (SRI); and the reconditioning of specialty consultation areas such as Dentistry, Electrocardiogram, Ultrasound, Ophthalmology, X-Ray, Laboratory, Emergency Room, Intensive Care Area, Observation Room, Dining Room, kitchens and pharmacy.

On the other hand, the “José Antonio Páez” Inegral Diagnosis Center (CDI) in the La Páez sector, in the Catia La Mar parish of La Guaira state, underwent wall repair work, bathroom adaptation, installation of more 15 air conditioners for hospitalization areas, intensive care, reception, dormitory for medical personnel, sterilization areas, treatment room, cure room and administrative offices.

As for the “La Isabelica” High Technology Center (CAT), located in the Rafael Urdaneta parish in the city of Valencia, Carabobo state, which has also been touched by the Revolution, he specified that it was provided with state-of-the-art medical equipment, In addition to having a large group of doctors and specialists, they are – 100 percent – ready and willing to provide first-class care for free to locals and visitors.

Some of the specialties in the services provided by CAT are; MRI, tomography, x-ray, mammography, bone densitometry, electromedicine, echo-sonography, electrocardiography, doctor’s office and laboratory.
