The National Executive guarantees financing conditions and joint work with entrepreneurs, the working class and farm workers to increase food production in the country, as reiterated this Saturday the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
“(You may) Count on the revolutionary government for anything that needs financing, credit, moratorium on payments, everything the business needs. Venezuela, yes we can, we are the size of whatever compromise that may present to us, we continue in battle”, he said.
Regarding the efforts to guarantee strategic items to Venezuelan families and other services due to the national emergency to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the head of state acknowledged “the contribution of the producers of the field who have maintained the planting and harvesting rhythm ”.
“There is no contradiction between health and production, on the contrary we can continue producing as we have continued and we will continue to activate engines to guarantee the people food, medicine, and the fundamental services to keep the economic apparatus active, I thank the workers, all businessmen and businesswomen who believe in the country, it is time for sacrifice, work and collective fruit”, he said.
The first National President detailed that the organized labor force is essential to achieve productive goals, and in that order he specified that 2,130 Productive Councils of Workers (CPT) have been formed in the country, which group more than 1,470,000 workers.
“We are taking care of all of them,” he said, adding that they also monitor and advance multilateral efforts on the international stage to achieve economic stabilization.
In this regard, he highlighted the agreement reached between the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and other producing nations to reduce 10 million barrels in order to stabilize the market, impacted by the health crisis due to the coronavirus.
