President Maduro held a conversation with Argentinean counterpart to coordinate actions against Covid-19

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported on Monday he had a telephone conversation with his Argentinean counterpart, Alberto Fernández; in order to coordinate actions to stop the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the region.

«Today I had a very pleasant conversation with the President of Argentina, Alberto Fernández. We exchanged criteria and experiences on quarantine, on its screening, on the need to cut the transmission chain, we exchanged experiences on the effort being made in the economy”, said the Venezuelan head of state from Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.

The National President explained that both leaders agree on that “quarantine is the basis for defeating coronavirus”.

On the other hand, during the telephone conversation, President Fernández expressed his solidarity with the Government of Venezuela, before the onslaught of the United States (US) government, for which the Venezuelan president thanked him for the position taken by that South American nation in a virtual meeting of the G-20, in which it requested the lifting of coercive measures to Venezuela and Cuba.
