President Maduro reiterates willingness to dialogue with the opposition in order to combat pandemic

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated this Wednesday his call for national dialogue with sectors of the opposition, to fine-tune strategies to combat the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the country, which has already 106 cases registered, of which 15 are in the recovery phase and three of them are in critical condition.

During a telephone contact with the “Con el Mazo Dando” program, the National President proposed the Apostolic Nunciature to provide a space at its headquarters for “an encounter with these opposition factors: (Henrique) Capriles Radoski, (Henry) Ramos Allup, Manuel Rosales, the National Dialogue Board and all those who want to join a National Board for Health Protection in Venezuela ”.

He emphasized that he is fully willing to talk to the opposition sector about the Covid-19 pandemic, in order to reach agreements and implement them that favor and protect the Venezuelan people, “above sectarianism and politicking and pride. I’m ready”, he asserted.

On the other hand, President Maduro congratulated the Venezuelan people for the civility and discipline demonstrated during the social quarantine in the country after the positive cases of Covid-19.

He called on the conscience of Venezuelans to comply with the social quarantine for as long as necessary.
