The National Constituent Assembly rejected on Thursday the new interventionist action by the European Parliament, which expressed its support for deputy Juan Guaidó and the violent events that he promoted since January 5, after the election of a new board of directors of the National Assembly, an instance which has been in contempt since 2016.
In a statement, the ANC also described these actions as a violation of international law and the self-determination of the Venezuelan people:
«This National Constituent Assembly is in the duty, and has the mandate of the Venezuelan People to raise its voice before the Free Peoples of the world denouncing this new affront and maneuver against the peace and stability of a homeland that conquered its freedom with the glorious and heroic sacrifice of an entire People, led by the anti-imperialist leadership and the libertarian devotion of our Father Liberator, Simón Bolívar”, says part of the statement.

“The National Constituent Assembly, in exercise of its originary power emanated from the mandate conferred by the People of Venezuela on July 30, 2017 in democratic, free, universal, direct and secret elections, in accordance with the provisions of articles 347, 348 and 349 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Norms to Guarantee the Full Institutional Operation of the National Constituent Assembly in Harmony with the Constitutional Public Powers, issued by this sovereign body and published in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 6.323, Extraordinary.
Faced with the offensive, immoral and interventionist decision of the European Parliament to continue the process of systematic, fascist and anti-democratic aggression against the Independent, Free and Democratic Institutions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with the manifest objective of destabilizing our Nation and generating a state of war with catastrophic consequences for Venezuelans and Venezuelans, as well as for the peoples of the continent; This National Constituent Assembly is in the duty and has the mandate of the Venezuelan People to raise its voice before the Free Peoples of the world denouncing this new affront and maneuver against the peace and stability of a homeland that conquered its freedom with the glorious and heroic sacrifice of a whole People, headed by the anti-imperialist leadership and the libertarian devotion of our Father Liberator SIMÓN BOLÍVAR.
The immoral position of the European Parliament, in violation of international law, as well as of the democratic self-determination of the Venezuelan People who in free, universal, direct and secret elections in these twenty years of political process has developed a set of transformations aimed at the present and future well-being of all Venezuelan men and women, which has been demonstrated in up to twenty-five electoral processes; is nothing more than the confirmation of its intended and failed disposition to impose a fascist dictatorship in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, whose sole purpose is to be at the service of their bastard interests.
It is not strange for this National Constituent Assembly that the European institutions, far from placing themselves at the service of the pressing challenges and demands of their peoples, increasingly tired of the neoliberal model that discards the great national majorities, stand in line with the interests of the American supremacist, rascist and fascist elite to impose the Monroe doctrine on a Latin American continent whose Peoples and their un-renounceable libertarian, independent, peaceful and democratic will, have been able to confront and defeat them in all fields of politics.
From this National Constituent Assembly, Plenipotentiary Power of the Nation and guarantor of peace and stability in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, we reject in all its terms the immoral and illegal decision of the European Parliament to pretend with its colonizing and interference hands to govern the future of a Free and democratic Nation, through non-existent and virtual usurping and pseudo institutional figures whose political sign has been that of failure, and their final destination will be the garbage dump of history.
May know the Free Peoples of the world that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its republican institutions will assert with honesty and determination the word, made into letter and action, of our Father SIMÓN BOLÍVAR in his Letter of Jamaica of September 6, 1815: “The veil has torn and we have seen the light and they want us to return to darkness: The chains have been broken; We have already been free, and our enemies pretend to enslave us again”. In them we express our full, free, democratic and independent determination to continue the path of transformations driven by the political genius of Commander HUGO CHÁVEZ FRÍAS, giving life to the social and democratic state, of law and justice enshrined in the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, for the welfare of the one and only sacred power that rules us and to which we owe strict obedience: the Constituent Power of the Venezuelan People.
No immoral and illegal statement or interventionist pretense, such as the one proposed and exhibited by the European Parliament today, will tear down the building of our Nation, founded on truly free and democratic values, of social inclusion, common good, freedom, social justice, love of peace and respect for the self-determination of the Peoples; nor will it violate our full willingness to continue paving the way so we the Venezuelans ourselves, in the broadest freedoms and without any tutelage, even less by anachronistic and outdated empires, can be the ones to determine our path in absolute national stability and with a Bolivarian National Armed Forces ready and willing to defend and preserve our national and institutional integrity.
We want to urge the free Peoples of the world, as well as governments and democratic institutions, to accompany efforts for the structuring of a fair international order capable of enforcing the rights of the Peoples, states and their self-determination, facing these rude acts of interference, such as the recent, unjustifiable and immoral decision of the European Parliament, which openly violates the postulates of international law and constitutes a direct threat to the regional peace of Latin America, with direct consequences on the lives of millions of human beings.
Finally, we want to make it clear that, as a National Constituent Assembly born of the popular, universal, democratic, electoral, direct and secret mandate, we will enforce the sacred commitment to preserve peace and stability for our People, facing, in every way that the truth and the law assist us, every gross interference whose purpose is none other than to generate a state of war in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
In honor of the Venezuelan People, the Father of South American Freedom, SIMÓN BOLÍVAR, and our guide and lighthouse, the Commander of all times, HUGO CHÁVEZ, we men and women Constituents of the Homeland swear this!
