The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, approved on Wednesday the creation of the International University of Communications, based in Caracas.
The proposal was made during the 1st International Communications Congress, which was held for 4 days in Caracas and which culminated on Wednesday with the approval of the proposals, including the creation of the study house.
The president said that the National Government will provide financial and logistical resources for the foundation of the University, and requested the beginning of academic activities to be made on the first quarter of 2020:
«Make the architecture of what should be the pedagogical and communication process, as well as the implementation of the University of Communication», instructed Maduro to the Minister of People’s Power for University Education, César Trómpiz.
The International University of Communication is aimed at establishing a community of knowledge, under investigation and content generation mechanisms to face the aggression maneuvers that are being woven against the peoples.
Simultaneously with the creation of the study center, delegates of the International Communication Congress promote the delivery of a distinction as an acknowledgement to the research and training in the area of content dissemination.
