Governor Héctor Rodríguez: We will do what the people say in Miranda consultation


“At this time of the afternoon I can tell you that it seems that the vast majority agrees with more leading democracy, with more participatory democracy and with more people’s power, and whatever the people says is what we are going to do”, said on Sunday the governor of Miranda state, Héctor Rodríguez, in reference to the Popular Consultation.
After exercising his right to vote in Río Chico, Páez municipality, Rodríguez said that the Popular Consultation is to decide whether or not to transfer funds to the communes, as a result of the application of the Law of Coexistence, for Citizen Security and Peace, resources that will pass to the People`s Power organized to be invested in social projects.
He stressed that for the electoral event were enabled 825 voting centers in all the municipalities of Miranda state, and thanked those who participated and exercised their right to vote:
“Today, the great will of the people in betting on democracy is being demonstrated in the streets of Miranda, there is a lot of confidence in it. We have a people who want their governor to consult the most important decisions in daily dynamics”, he said.
Rodríguez explained that in the web site of the government the people of Miranda state can enter their identity card number, and know which electoral center to vote in.
Finally, he described the process as simple, which is accompanied by the National Electoral Council.
