Russia and Venezuela sign new agreements on energy, technology, economic, agricultural and military matters


With the signing by the presidents of the Russia-Venezuela High Level Commission (CIAN), the first Russian deputy prime minister, Yuri Borisov and the sectoral vice president for the Economic Area, Tareck El Aissami, this Saturday were subscribed agreements on energy, economy and technology.
This was announced by the head of State and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, by offering statements to the media after holding a successful meeting with Yuri Borisov at Miraflores Palace.
“We have reviewed all the issues, there are new ventures in the economic field, in the transfer of technology, with the support of Russian entrepreneurs”, said the National President.
With this meeting the cooperation relations between both countries are exalted, since to date they amount to 264 agreements signed in 20 strategic areas, thus increasing by 10% the commercial exchange between Moscow and Caracas.
The President also informed that in agricultural matters, new and advanced agreements were signed with the presence of Russian technology, and advice in the military area:
“We have renewed all contracts for support, advice and advance in the military technical aspect … Strategic cooperation relations for development and peace”, concluded the Venezuelan Head of State.
