“Venezuela has been warning that a minority group of governments led by the United States intend to instrumentalize the UN as a weapon of intervention through the continuous promotion of a coup against the constitutional authorities of the Venezuelan Government by challenging their credentials before the international organization”.
This was denounced this Thursday by the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, during his speech at the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Countries Movement (NAM) during the 74th session of the General Assembly of the Organization of United Nations (UN), which takes place in New York.
The Venezuelan diplomat referred to the announcement made by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to suspend the permission to enter the North American country of senior officials of Venezuela and Iran as well as their families, a media that violates the United Nations letter, the International Law norms and the ruling of the International Court of Justice.
“This maneuver flagrantly violates the letter of the United Nations. It intends to be rehearsed in the afternoon of tomorrow (Friday), when it is planned that our Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, will speak in the general debate of the General Assembly”, said the official.
