Jorge Rodríguez ratified willingness of the Government to advance on peace agenda


The sectoral vice president for Communication, Tourism and Culture, Jorge Rodríguez, from the headquarters of the Chancellory in Caracas, ratified the will of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, t: advance in a peace agenda.
“We want all the political, social, economic and worldwide factors, to know our willingness for dialogue. We have not closed, nor will close any initiative to resolve, among Venezuelans, the issues that only concern us Venezuelan men and women”, said the Minister for Communication and Information.
He stressed that “we are aware of the difficulties we are going through and that is the reason to put the differences aside and seek for real solutions for the people of Venezuela. We want coexistence, economic recovery and peace. Sovereignty is the right of peoples to decide their own destinies”.
He also emphasized that at the time the established agreements are executed, the dialogue table will continue in full evolution, and will be maintained an open work agenda.
The agreements reached at the National Dialogue Table are detailed below:
– It will be incorporated into the National Assembly (AN), the parliamentary faction of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv) and allied factions.
– Will be addressed the new formation of the National Electoral Council (CNE), and the electoral guarantees.
– The Justice system will be urged, through the Commission for Life, to apply release measures in the cases that allow it.
– To reaffirm and defend the legitimate rights of Venezuela over the Essequibo territory, as contemplated in the Geneva Agreement.
– To reject economic sanctions against the country and demand that they be lifted and implement an oil-for-food and medicine exchange program.
This agreement was signed under the principles of self-determination and sovereignty, with the participation of the Chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza; the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez and the representatives of the opposition parties Claudio Fermín (Solutions for Venezuela), Timoteo Zambrano (Cambiemos) and Luis Romero (Avanzada Progresista).
